The Sewerin SR-LD 200 / SR-LD 800 Remote Laser Detector is a sophisticated methane detector that uses TDLAS (tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy) technology to detect CH4 remotely from up to 200 meters in ideal environmental conditions. The SR-LD device offers users a straightforward "aim & shoot" interface.
Here's how it works: a laser beam emitted by the detector reflects off a surface (e.g., wall, ground, etc.). If any CH4 is detected, the methane itself will attenuate the return signal. The device then calculates the methane concentration based on the level of attenuation. This technology not only ensures reliable CH4 detection but also makes it user-friendly by automatically adjusting the zero point whenever the distance changes.
SR-LD 200 and SR-LD 800: Both models provide high sensitivity, long-distance performance (120m for SR-LD 200 and 200m for SR-LD 800), rugged construction, replaceable Li-Ion batteries, long battery life, and quick charging times.
Designed for the Natural Gas industry and perfect for both transmission and distribution applications:
