The Sewerin SR-LD 200 / SR-LD 800 Remote Laser Detector is an advanced methane detector employing TDLAS (tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy) technology to remotely detect CH4 from up to 200 meters of distance in ideal ambient conditions. The SR-LD device provides users with a simple "aim & shoot" interface.
Here's how it works: a laser beam emitted by the detector reflects on a surface (e.g., wall, ground, etc.). If any CH4 is detected, the methane itself will attenuate the return signal. The device then calculates the methane concentration from the level of attenuation. This technology not only ensures reliable CH4 detection but also makes it user-friendly by automatically adjusting the zero point as soon as the distance changes.
SR-LD 200 and SR-LD 800: Both models offer high sensitivity, long-distance performance (120m - SR-LD 200) and (200m - SR-LD 800), rugged design, Li-Ion (replaceable) batteries, long battery life, and short charge times.
Designed for the Natural Gas industry and perfect for both transmission and distribution applications:
