The vLoc3-Cam sonde locator from Vivax-Metrotech is built on a new Triaxial 3D antenna architecture providing the best-in-industry sonde locating experience. The vLoc3-Cam makes finding and locating sondes and camera heads quick and easy every time. Approach the sonde from any direction, and the bright color LCD will guide you to the exact location of the camera head with depth.

The vLoc3-Cam includes all the industry-standard sonde frequencies and a line trace frequency for locating the entire length of the camera pushrod. In addition, an optional transmitter is available for this application. The vLoc3-Cam also includes passive Power and Radio modes for traditional utility sweeping.

  • Graphical locate layout (best sonde mode on the market)
  • Pushrod and Line trace: *83kHz only.
  • Active frequencies (sonde): 512Hz / 640Hz / 8.19kHz / 9.82kHz / 33kHz / 83kHz
  • Passive: Power 60Hz / Radio

*requires an optional portable transmitter

FAQ

Every vLoc3-Cam receiver includes a unique and proprietary Graphical Sonde mode, which eliminates the cumbersome and ancient technique of holding the receiver sideways and locating the three peaks associated with the sonde. These older designed locators often required a 2-person team so that one person could push the sonde slowly while the other person located the sonde as it moved through the pipe. The old method is time-consuming and requires more human resources, coordination, and a certain level of experience.

The vLoc3-Cam allows users to push the sonde to where it needs to be, and then the same person can use the receiver to guide them to the sonde from any direction. This mode makes locating a sonde easy and much faster.

Yes. The vLoc3-Cam includes 83.1kHz for its line locating frequency—also, Radio and Power modes for passive utility sweeping capability. However, an optional transmitter with 83.1kHz frequency is required for line locating. Some cameras, like the vCam-6 and vCamMX from Vivax-Metrotech, also allow their pushrod to carry a locate signal along its length so that users can use the pushrod to mark a pipe.

Yes. The vLoc3-Cam includes frequencies for sonde locating of 512Hz, 640Hz, 8.19kHz, 9.82kHz, 32.8kHz and 83.1kHz. Many of these frequencies are global industry standards.
